Prize draw terms
Last updated: 4 October 2026. Version: draft-2026-10-04.
These are the rules for The Hoodie Nook prize draw. Please read them before you enter. By entering, you agree to them.
The short version
- The prize. There are two winners. Each wins one prototype hoodie in one of the two winning designs, in their size. There is no cash alternative.
- Who can enter. People who live in the UK. If you’re under 18, you need a parent’s or carer’s permission. If you’re under 16, a parent or carer must enter for you.
- How to enter. Join The Hoodie Nook on this site with an email address and tick the prize draw box. It’s free. You don’t need to buy anything. One entry per person.
- When it closes. The draw closes on the day The Hoodie Nook launches, or on 30 June 2027 at the latest, whichever comes first. We’ll announce the exact date on this site and by email at least 14 days before.
- How winners are chosen. At random. We tell the winners by email, and they have a set time to reply. See section 7.
- Who runs it. RoR Group Limited, 7 Wetherby Road, Leeds, LS8 2JU.
The full terms are below.
1. Who runs the prize draw
- The promoter is RoR Group Limited (company number 10328686), 7 Wetherby Road, Leeds, LS8 2JU. The promoter is the organisation that runs the prize draw and is responsible for it. The Hoodie Nook is its brand.
- In these terms, “we” and “us” mean RoR Group Limited.
- You can contact us at hello@thehoodienook.com.
2. Who can enter
- You must live in the UK.
- If you’re 18 or over, you can enter for yourself.
- If you’re 16 or 17, you can enter for yourself, but only with a parent’s or carer’s permission. If you win, we’ll ask your parent or carer to confirm they agree before we send the prize.
- If you’re under 16, you can’t enter for yourself. This site doesn’t let under 16s sign up. A parent or carer can enter for you by joining as a parent or carer. They are then the person who has entered. If they win, the hoodie can be in your size.
- You need internet access and an email address to enter.
- People who work for RoR Group Limited, their close family, and anyone else who helps to run the prize draw can’t enter. To confirm: whether to exclude the promoter’s employees, their immediate family and anyone helping to run the draw
- We may ask a winner to show that they meet these rules.
3. How to enter
- Join The Hoodie Nook on this site with an email address, and tick the box that says “Enter me into the prize draw”.
- On this site, you lock in a vote for your favourite designs first. Then you can join. A parent or carer who follows a young person’s link can join without voting.
- Entry is free. You don’t need to buy anything, now or later.
- You don’t have to agree to marketing emails to enter. The prize draw box and the email updates box are separate. You can tick one, or both.
- One entry per person. If a parent or carer enters for a young person, that is the parent’s or carer’s one entry.
- How you vote makes no difference. Your voting choices do not affect your chance of winning.
- You can leave the prize draw at any time before the draw takes place. Email hello@thehoodienook.com.
4. When the draw opens and closes
- The prize draw opens on the day sign-up opens on this site. To confirm: the start date (the day sign-up opens)
- The draw closes on the day The Hoodie Nook launches, or on 30 June 2027 at the latest, whichever comes first. We’ll announce the exact date on this site and by email at least 14 days before. To confirm: the long-stop date of 30 June 2027 To confirm: what counts as the day The Hoodie Nook launches
- Entries must reach us by 11.59pm, UK time, on the closing date. We can’t count entries that arrive after that. To confirm: the closing time on the closing date
5. The prize
- There are two prizes and two winners. Each winner gets one prototype hoodie in one of the two winning designs, in their size.
- The two winning designs are the two designs that come top in The Hoodie Nook vote and are made as prototypes.
- A prototype is an early version. It may be a little different from the hoodies we go on to sell.
- The first winner drawn chooses which of the two winning designs they would like. The second winner chooses too, if we have both designs in their size. If we don’t, they receive the other design. To confirm: how the design is allocated to each winner
- We’ll ask each winner which size they need.
- There is no cash alternative. The prize can’t be swapped for anything else.
- If something outside our control means we can’t give the prize as described, we’ll give a prize that is a fair match and worth at least as much.
6. How winners are chosen
- The two winners are picked at random from all the valid entries we receive by the closing date. Every valid entry has the same chance.
- The draw takes place within 7 days of the closing date. To confirm: when the draw happens (within 7 days of closing is suggested)
- The UK advertising rules (the CAP Code) say the winners of a prize draw must be picked by a computer process that gives results that can be shown to be random, or by an independent person, or with an independent person watching. We will follow this rule. To confirm: who the independent person is, or which verifiably random process will be used
- We’ll keep a record of how the draw was done.
- The result of the draw is final.
7. How we tell the winners
- We’ll email each winner at the email address they joined with, within 3 days of the draw. To confirm: when winners are told (within 3 days of the draw is suggested)
- To claim the prize, a winner must reply within 14 days of our email. We’ll send a reminder during that time. To confirm: how long winners have to claim (14 days is suggested)
- We’ll ask the winner for their full name, a UK delivery address and their size, and to confirm that they meet these rules. If the winner is 16 or 17, we’ll also ask a parent or carer to confirm they give permission.
- If a winner doesn’t reply in time, can’t take the prize, or doesn’t meet these rules, we’ll pick a replacement winner at random from the other valid entries. The replacement winner gets the same amount of time to claim.
- We will never ask a winner to pay anything, or to give bank or card details.
8. Sending the prize
- We’ll send each prize to the winner’s UK delivery address. Delivery is free.
- The prototype hoodies are made for us by our makers, so the delivery date depends on them. To confirm: the date by which winners will receive their prize. If it is more than 30 days after the closing date, these terms must give the date
- We’ll tell each winner when to expect their prize. We’ll tell them straight away if that changes.
9. Results and winners’ details
- We’ll say on this site that the draw has taken place, within 7 days of the draw. To confirm: how and when the result is announced (on this site, within 7 days of the draw, is suggested)
- To show that the draw was real, the advertising rules expect us to publish the surname and county of each winner, or to give them to anyone who asks. We may publish them on this site. Or we may give them to anyone who emails us to ask within three months of the draw. To confirm: whether winners’ surname and county are published or only given on request, and for how long
- You can object. If you’d rather we didn’t share your surname and county, or you’d like us to share less, tell us. You can do this when you enter, when we tell you that you’ve won, or at any other time. Email hello@thehoodienook.com.
- If a winner is under 18, we’ll only share their surname and county if a parent or carer agrees.
- If the Advertising Standards Authority asks us to prove that the draw was real, we must give it the winners’ details, even if a winner has objected.
- We won’t use a winner’s name, photo or story in any publicity unless they agree first. Saying no will not affect their prize.
10. Your details
- We use the details of people who enter to run the prize draw, as set out in our privacy notice.
- Entering the prize draw does not sign you up to marketing. Unless you also ticked the email updates box, we’ll only email you about the draw itself, such as the closing date.
11. Entries we can’t count
We can’t count any of these as entries:
- More than one entry from the same person. Only the first one counts.
- Entries made by a computer program, or made in bulk.
- Entries from anyone who can’t enter under section 2.
- Entries that arrive after the closing date.
- Entries that never reach us. If your sign-up doesn’t go through, for example because your connection drops, it is not an entry.
12. If something changes
- We will only cancel the prize draw, or change these terms, if something outside our control makes it unavoidable.
- If that happens, we’ll tell everyone who has entered as soon as we can, by email and on this site.
- We’ll do everything we reasonably can to make sure people who have already entered don’t lose out.
13. The law that applies
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
- If there is a dispute, the courts of England and Wales can decide it. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can use the courts there instead.
- Nothing in these terms takes away any rights the law gives you.
14. Questions
If you have a question about the prize draw, or you think we’ve got something wrong, email hello@thehoodienook.com.
